Summer Solstice Event - 108 Sun Salutations
The summer solstice (June 21) is the marking point half way through the year, the height of summer and the earth's longest day and shortest night. Solstice means 'standing of the sun' and it is a time that we can connect to this great turning point in the earth's yearly cycle.
Often in yoga it is celebrated at this time with the practice of 108 rounds of sun salutations. The number 108 is a renowned and sacred number in many traditions.
Join me this June 21st at 10am for a lead practice of 108 sun salutations to kick off the second half of the year.
